Art and Design and Design Technology

Through Art and Design and Design Technology, we aim to provide a wide range of stimulating and rich creative opportunities that will aid and broaden our pupils' artistic development. The children are able to respond to the natural and man-made environment through direct experiences and observations including opportunities for learning outside the classroom. We provide a wide variety of tools, materials and equipment for the children to experiment and become familiar with. 

We enable the children to learn about the great artists, craft makers and designers, and in the words of Pablo Picasso; celebrate that “Every child is an Artist”. We celebrate the skills our pupils develop and the creative process that takes them to produce their final creations. Our pupils are encouraged to critically evaluate their own and other's work through discussing their ideas and processes.
