School Visits and Residentials
School trips and visits are an integral part of the education of children at St. Mary's Catholic Primary School. We value the opportunities such visits offer our pupils and the commitment of staff and adults undertaking them. Trips include class visits aimed at bringing learning alive and providing first-hand experiences; extra-curricular outings such as activities with the school choir or sporting events; and attending or taking part in performances or competitions.
Year 6 residential
Pupils in Year 6 are given the opportunity to take part in a week-long residential trip. Our residential trip is extremely popular and gives children the opportunity to learn new things and challenge themselves to be successful in a range of outdoor pursuit activities, visits to areas of natural beauty and historical significance. This promotes team building skills and raises self-confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is that all children have the opportunity to join this trip and financial support may be available for those who need it.
