A day in Reception

8.45am Children arrive- put their belongings away, choose their lunch and sign in.

9.00am-Morning Prayer and Class Reflection

9.10am-Phonics -Children learn letter sounds and blending and segmenting skills to help them become confident readers and writers.

9.45am-Learn and Play- Children have access to the provison, both indoors and outdoors in all weathers. Staff interact with the children to develop and deepen understanding across all areas of the curriculum

11.00am-Maths

11.35am- Lunch

12.45pm- Book Talk based on an area linked to Understanding of the World/ RE/Music

2.35pm Tidy up
