Inclusion
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at St Mary’s
At St Mary’s School, we believe that all of our pupils have the right to an education which is relevant, meaningful and appropriate to them as individuals. As such, it is our aim to identify and manage any difficulties that our pupils may experience, to ensure that every child learns and achieves to their fullest potential.
We are fully committed to the principle of inclusion and the good practice which makes it possible. With this in mind, we aim to pay careful consideration of the individual needs of every pupil and respond to these by modifying activities and providing necessary support to ensure that all pupils participate fully in both the academic and social life of our school.
If you have any concerns about your child’s learning and wellbeing or feel that they may be experiencing barriers to their progress and development, please do not hesitate to speak to our school SENDCo.
Our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), Mrs Sarah Hodgson, can be contacted by email at senco@stmcps.co.uk . Alternatively, please feel free to contact the school office to arrange an appointment to speak about your concerns.
